Meet Our Staff




Pete is a native of Westerly, Rhode Island and became a Christian in high school through a local youth ministry.   He is a graduate of Boston University and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.  Pete has served churches in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  A Navy veteran he has travelled to 27 countries and taught at Bible colleges in Tanzania and Ukraine.  Pete also pursues photography, exhibiting locally and in New England.  Visit his website at www.peterbalentine.com.   Pete is married to Allison and together they have four children, Georgia, Daniel, Molly and Charlotte.   The Balentines live in Lynn.  


Youth/Family Minister


Marquis grew up in the Bronx, NY and became a Christian through the influence of his church and family.   He is a graduate of Gordon College in Bible has served  at WSBC since 2011.  He speaks frequently to youth and adults in various churches, and also has served on the staff of Grotonwood Camps.  Marquis is pursuing ordination with the ABCUSA.    Marquis and Analy met at Gordon College, married in 2017, and have a son, Landon.  They have a passion for ministry to families (check out fuelthetribe on Facebook).   The Lockharts live in Lynn.

Laura grew up in New Jersey and came to faith in Jesus through her family and her church.  She is a graduate of Gordon College and Regent Seminary in Vancouver, BC.   Laura just recently received ordination status with the ABCUSA denomination.  Laura also lives in Lynn.  



Salome is originally from Guatemala but moved to Texas and then to Lynn.  He works for a landscaping company during the week, but also serves us faithfully as our custodian and groundskeeper here at WSBC.  Salome lives in Lynn.







Food Pantry Director



Kerwin grew up at WSBC as a kid and has been a part of our church community all his life.  He is a graduate of Tufts University, and a number of years ago, God gave him the vision of starting a Food Pantry for the neighborhood. Today that Food Pantry serves 175 to 200 families monthly.   Kerwin also serves as our church treasurer and trustee/property team member.
